Play Vegas Diamonds
Let’s talk about the symbols populating the reels for a while. The reels are set in Las Vegas, which is probably why everything on the screen seems luxurious. We have already mentioned four different Multiplier Wilds that appear carrying a 2x, 3x, 4x and 5x multiplier. Bonus Scatter will trigger the Fortune Wheel, while Diamonds tend to land on a single payline for bigger payouts. Also, we have triple, double and single Bar symbols, as well as Watermelons, Lemons and Cherries.
How to Play
This is one of the ELK Studios’ 3-reel slot trilogy (with Ivanhoe and Route 777), so the rules are quite simple. The 2018 release features a 3x3 reel grid and offers 5 fixed paylines. Land three matching symbols on a payline and you will get payed, it’s as simple as that. Betting is fixed at 20 coins per spin, but the coin denomination can be altered, so you can bet as low as $0.20 and as high as $100 per single spin, which is quite good.
The control panel offers all the usual options, including Autoplay, where you can activate up to 100 automatic spins, so that you can sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Las Vegas.
Strategy & Tips
Land three Bonus Scatters to trigger the Fortune Wheel feature and get 3 spins on the Wheel. Here, you can win cash prizes and 5 free spins, depending on the field the Wheel stops on. Also, if you land on an arrow, you will move on an outer circle of the Wheel, where you can get bigger wins (three levels available – Bronze, Silver and Gold).
If you land on free spins, you will get 5 freebies with a 5x multiplier applied to all wins. Every extra Scatter landed during the feature will get you one more spin on the Wheel. Get identical symbols on the first two reels and you will trigger the Perfect Match Respins feature, where the first two reels are locked, while the third performs 3 respins to try and land the same symbols as on the first two.
Finally, we have Vegas Diamonds Nudge feature. If three Diamonds land on the reels, but not on a payline, they will nudge to deliver a win.
Mobile Version
Vegas Diamonds is a part of the Mobile First series, meaning that the good people of ELK Studios developed it especially for players who prefer to enjoy their games on the go. The portrait mode is for players who want to play with one hand and landscape mode is for others.
ELK Studios have stepped up their release schedule recently, having just released Joker Gems recently. While their games are not always everyone’s cup of tea, there’s no denying they can pay out good. Launching on November the 6th, the newest release from the Swedish studio is not too far away. Vegas Diamonds Slot Review: Overview
Vegas Diamonds is another installment in the 3×3 slot series set out by ELK Studios. Their previous two iterations Ivanhoe and Route 777 (playable on Mr. Green casino) were well-received, although a tad dated in the current scheme of things in the online slot industry. With most players preferring high-volatility, feature-laden games, this rather simple game comes as a surprise. The standards of an ELK game are all here. Optimized for mobile, a rather standard 96% RTP and the all-familiar Elk interface.
The setup is quite similar to the previously mentioned 3×3 slots developed by Elk. Gracing the background are several landmarks found in Las Vegas and a beautiful, neon-tinted skyline. Other than that, nothing too far from the ordinary. The symbols are classical fruits, bars, and diamonds. If you’re looking for the short version of the review: this is a classic slot for players who love old-school style gameplay. For those of you who are a bit more curious, read on.
Vegas Diamonds Slot Review: Symbols
As mentioned before, the symbols are rather ordinary. One interesting factoid is the way the namesake diamonds work in the game. If 3 of them land anywhere on the playing grid, they will nudge together to form a win. Don’t expect an insane 1000x though! The three diamonds in a line together bring in a total of 30x.
While there is no colossal bonus game as such, the base game can pay decent as well. Attached below are all the symbols for the game, the classic fruits and a couple of bars. Don’t expect a hit every single time you spin though. The hit rate stands at 14.4%, which means you should expect a winning spin every six spins on average. While we were playing, we didn’t encounter a vast number of dead spins. This might make the game a solid choice for wagering.

Vegas Diamonds Slot Review: Features
Vegas Diamonds Slot Reviews
Let’s get this straight. If you’re looking for a game to buy bonuses on, you’re in the wrong place. First of all, the game doesn’t have a “true” dedicated bonus and features only two features. The first one is the aforementioned nudge feature, which will clump together three diamonds if they’re anywhere on the playing grid. The second feature is quite similar; it is called the perfect match respin. This feature occurs whenever two identical symbols land on the first two reels, at this point, the player is given three chances to get a matching symbol on the third reel. It’s nothing spectacular, but it does a little variety and spice to the whole game.
The three bonus wheels might count as a bonus, but it feels more like a feature. If you’ve played games like Koi Princess, you’ll know exactly what to expect. There are three colors of wheels, the bronze one, the silver and the gold. The concept is pretty much the same as Hong Kong Tower. If you land on a multiplier, you get that amount multiplied by your bet. Hit the arrow to move up a wheel? That’s right; you’ll progress to the next one. The top award on the golden wheel is a 1000x. However, that’s a jackpot prize, and you shouldn’t expect to hit it. A rather standard bonus that doesn’t feel like one.
Vegas Diamonds Slot Review: Overall Impressions
Vegas Diamonds Slot Review 2019
Overall, Vegas Diamonds is an alright slot. It’s nothing spectacular, doesn’t feature extremely high volatility. It’s just a mere 2000x. Compared to the other 3×3 offerings from Elk, this one pales a bit in comparison. While the bonus wheel is fun to spin a couple of times, it is a feature that is found on plenty of other games. It’s worth a play to check it out, and fans of old-school games might love it, but for the rest of us, Vegas Diamonds is just alright. It’s not a bad game by any means; I just don’t expect it to be picked up by the online casino streaming community.
